Maybe it’s because we’re obsessed with beautiful floors but we think parquet floors are having a bit of a moment. Recent posts on some of our favourite blogs showing super chic and stylish interior spaces with traditional parquet floors used in a contemporary way have inspired us to share some of our own.
Our Oak Harmony laid in a herringbone pattern in a classically grand apartment in central Copenhagen; rustic Oak Variation and Oak finished in our opaque Black Oil all look stunning.
Our Single Stave Blocks are laid in the traditional fashion and then, contrary to most of our floors which are pre-finished, sanded and finished on site. A floor like this can last a hundred years (or more!). Not only is solid hardwood very hard wearing, it can be sanded and re-finished as many times as you like.
